Greezballs On The Phone is an experimental animation project with brevity in mind. By front-loading production (assets, environments, character rigs etc.) and leveraging 2D motion capture, I was able to build a rapid animation pipeline that prioritized writing and voice performance above all else. After the initial asset phase, each of the 29 episodes took ~10-20 minutes to animate. While 2D motion capture is no substitute for quality animation (at least not yet), the workflow itself is extremely promising for any potential project where cost effective animated content at scale is a consideration.
